Solar energy works by converting the energy from the sun into usable electricity for your home or business.
Here's how it works
Solar panels
The first step in the process is to install solar panels on your roof or property. The panels are made of photovoltaic (PV) cells that convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity.
Inverter
The DC electricity produced by the panels is then fed into an inverter, which converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity, which is the type of electricity that is used in homes and businesses.
Electric Panel
The AC electricity is then fed into your electric panel and distributed throughout your home or business to power your lights, appliances, and other electrical equipment.
Grid Connection
If your solar panel system produces more electricity than you use, the excess electricity is fed back into the grid, and you earn credits on your utility bill. On the other hand, if you need more electricity than your panels are producing, you can draw electricity from the grid.
